U-20 AFCON Flying Eagles captain, Bamaiyi suspended for quarter-final clash against Uganda. Daniel Bamaiyi, the Flying Eagles’ captain, won’t play against the Ugandan Hippos in the quarterfinals.
In Saturday night’s 2-0 win over Mozambique for the Flying Eagles, Bamaiyi received his second caution of the match.
Against the Ugandans, the center defender is a crucial member of the team and will be much missed.
Ladan Bosso, the head coach, will need to change up his defense for the match and may think about replacing him with Solomon Agbalaka from the draft.
On Thursday, the match versus Uganda will take place at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.
In addition to earning a spot in the semifinals, the contest’s champion will also compete in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup Indonesia later in the year.
