Spain Super Eagles midfielder, Nwakali assures he will be back from injury soon. Midfielder Kelechi Nwakali of the Super Eagles has promised he would soon return from injury.
Nwakali was hurt during Saturday’s SD Ponferradina 1-0 loss to Malaga for his team.
In the 57th minute, Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulahi took over for the Nigerian.
The 24-year-old will miss a few weeks of action, according to the Spanish Segunda Division club.
Nwakali, though, is optimistic despite the setback and is eager to get back on the field.
He promised on his Twitter account, “Thanks folks for all the messages yesterday (Saturday); will be back soon.
This season, he has made 16 appearances for Ponferradina and has scored just one goal.
After 17 rounds of games, Ponferradina are only one point above the bottom half of the standings.
