Messi Crazy people, you can’t insult world’s best player – Arturo Vidal attacks PSG fans. Former Barcelona midfielder, Arturo Vidal, has launched an attack on Paris Saint-Germain fans for their treatment of forward Lionel Messi.

Messi grabbed headlines a few days ago after visiting Saudi Arabia, hours after PSG’s Ligue 1 defeat to Lorient on April 30.

The Argentina captain was handed a two-week suspension for his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.

The 35-year-old later apologized for his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.

PSG fans, meanwhile, expressed their anger towards Messi by hurling abusive chants against the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner in front of the club’s HQ on May 3.

But Vidal has now slammed PSG fans for their treatment of Messi in recent days.

He reckons that Messi has been PSG’s best player this season and believes he should be cherished instead of being abused.

“The thing about the PSG fans is crazy, these people are crazier every day,” Vidal said (via TyC Sports).

“They can’t insult the best in the world, watch him [Messi] play … Clearly, they were not given in the Champions League and the (French) Cup, but in the championship, he has been the best.

“A world champion, he is in almost all the matches; he never gets injured; he scored most of the goals with [Kylian] Mbappe, and most of the passes are from him. Crazy, crazy that they always attack the best, but that is football, and that is the way people are.”
