Liverpool’s Firmino reacts to Brazil’s FIFA World Cup snub. Roberto Firmino, a striker for Liverpool, has responded to not being selected for Brazil’s 2022 FIFA World Cup team.
Tite, the manager of Brazil, revealed his 26-man roster for Qatar on Monday, which included many Premier League players.
Richarlison of Everton, Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal, and Thiago Silva of Chelsea are a few of the Premier League players that made the team.
Nevertheless, Firmino was not included in the team despite his strong performances this year.
In response, Firmino expressed faith in God’s plan for him in a message on his Instagram on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old praised God for allowing him to have the profession he does even if he won’t be playing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“Passing by to say thank you for all the kind words,” Firmino wrote. Every player’s desire is to play in the World Cup, and for me it would be no different. Yesterday didn’t go exactly like I had planned or hoped it would, but looking back, I can be thankful to God for having already given me the opportunity to realize that dream and so many others.
