Lewandowski wins 2022 Golden Foot award. At a star-studded ceremony in Monaco on Wednesday, Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski was named the newest recipient of the Golden Foot award.
Lewandowski scored 35 goals in his final year with Bayern Munich.
A few months ago, the 34-year-old also won his second straight European Golden Shoe.
The Polish captain has had a productive first season with Barcelona, netting 13 league goals in 14 La Liga games.
Lewandowski said he was honored to get the prize and that he was happy to have received it.
He expressed his joy and pride, saying, “I know that whatever I do and what I did, so to earn this Golden Foot Award is truly an honor for me.
I can now be proud of myself and also the words I want, so that has been a lot for me. I know how hard I have to work for this.
