Transfer Akpeyi secures work permit to play for South African club, Swallows FC. Daniel Akpeyi, a goalkeeper from Nigeria, has been given permission to work in South Africa and play for Swallows FC.

After departing another South African team, Kaizer Chiefs, in July 2022, Akpeyi has been without a team.

The 38-year-transfer old’s to Swallows was postponed when the Federation of International Football Federation imposed a transfer punishment on the Blue Birds (FIFA).

The former goaltender of the Warri Wolves, who has been working out with Swallows FC for a while, is eligible for Ernst Middendorp’s Sunday side trip to Chippa United.

The seasoned goalie may make his debut against the Chilli Boys.

Swallows are in the relegation play-off slot in third-to-last place, level with Maritzburg United on 21 points.
