Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, expressed his joy after playing a pivotal role in securing his team’s qualification for Euro 2024.
In the Euro 2024 qualifier, Ronaldo netted two goals to lead Portugal to a 3-2 victory over Slovakia at the Dragao Stadium in Porto.
Ronaldo, who is currently playing for Al-Nassr in his club career, took to Instagram to share his excitement, stating, “We’re at EURO 2024! Very happy to help Portugal reach another final stage of a great competition. A special thanks to the Portuguese Football Federation and to the fans present at the stadium for the beautiful tribute!”
In addition to Ronaldo’s goals, Goncalo Ramos also found the net for Portugal in the match. With their qualification, Portugal, along with France and Belgium, have joined host nation Germany as the latest countries to secure a spot in the competition.
