Carabao Cup Ten Hag makes demand from Rashford after 2-0 win over Burnley. Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has pushed Marcus Rashford to maintain his World Cup form when the domestic season gets underway.

In the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, United defeated Burnley 2-0 thanks to a magnificent solo goal from Rashford.

He had not played for the Red Devils since his return from the 2022 World Cup, when he had represented England.

The 25-year-old scored three goals in Qatar, and Ten Hag is optimistic that the forward is about to enter a strong period.

Ten Hag stated during a news conference on Wednesday, “I think he is on a really excellent level.”

His performances are becoming better and better from game to game, and I hope and expect that trend to continue.

“I think he put a lot of effort into his runs behind the defense, and he scored a wonderful goal with a great finish and dribble. I think he is in excellent form, and I hope he can maintain his focus and performances.”
