Bayern Munich gets new coach, Rechner. Michael Rechner has been hired by Bayern Munich as their new first-team goalkeeping coach, the German club announced on Wednesday.

Since firing Toni Tapalovic in January when it was discovered that he had revealed player-access to internal communications, Bayern Munich has been without a staff member in that position.

The Bundesliga champions conducted an extensive search for a coach to replace Tapalovic and have finally agreed to work with Rechner, 42, in that capacity.

On Wednesday, the Bayern stated on their website: “FC Bayern have hired Michael Rechner as goalkeeping coach.

The 42-year-old transfers from TSG Hoffenheim to Munich.
