Musiala was conceived by a Nigerian father and a German mother in Stuttgart, Germany.
The 19-year-old was brought up in England starting at the age of seven.
Musiala might have represented Nigeria, Germany, or England.
At the youth level, the former Chelsea player played for both Germany and England.
The youthful player said that considering joining the three-time African champions when former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr courted him.
“I may have played for Nigeria since the notion occurred to me and I gave it careful consideration. I had productive conversations with Germany and Nigeria,” Musiala said to TeamNigeriaUK3.
“As a result, it really just came down to me and my personal comfort level. I thus choose to go with Germany.
Musiala was a member of the German team that competed in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
