EPL I don’t want to see him – Chelsea legend warns Boehly over signing Ronaldo. After Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United, Chelsea veteran Frank Leboeuf issued a warning to Todd Boehly’s team not to sign the striker.
Leboeuf stated that he does not want Ronaldo to transfer from Manchester United to Stamford Bridge.
Recall that Ronaldo’s contract with Man United was terminated on Tuesday with immediate effect.
Ronaldo, who once piqued Chelsea’s attention, is currently a free agent and can sign with any team he chooses.
Leboeuf told ESPN FC, “Do you know, last summer, I thought Chelsea had a chance to have him [Ronaldo].”
“I believed it would have been a smart idea because of the season he had last year and because Chelsea’s front line was lacking something.
I don’t really want to see him this season, given the season he is having.
Leboeuf responded, “You have to adjust your game [plan] because of the attention you have to give to Ronaldo,” when asked why he did not want Chelsea to buy Ronaldo in the January transfer window. We’ve talked a lot about how you have to play for him while he is on the field.
