World Cup Jay Jay Okocha reacts as Ronaldo tries to claim Bruno Fernandes’ goal for Portugal. According to former Super Eagles captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Bruno Fernandes scored Portugal’s opening goal against Uruguay in their World Cup match on Monday.

In their second World Cup match, Portugal defeated Uruguay 2-0, due to a brace by Fernandes.

Cristiano Ronaldo was initially credited with scoring Fernandes’ first goal for Portugal, but it was later determined that the 37-year-old did not head in the cross before it went into the goal.

Okocha thinks Ronaldo was unfortunate since there are cameras everywhere because he celebrated as he attempted to claim the goal.

“I admire that celebration, which every striker performs when attempting to seize a scoring opportunity, but sadly for him [Ronaldo], there are cameras now everywhere. Bruno’s goal was evidently what he wanted, Okocha told SuperSport.

“I can give him the assist, but credit for the run goes to him. Excellent assist for Ronaldo, however he did not claim that one, which is terrible for him.
