Senegal defeated Ecuador, while Gareth Southgate’s team won their last group match against Wales.
Cundy made a prediction and thought the Three Lions would triumph 2-1 over the African champs.
Cundy told Grosvenor Sport that Senegal were “decent, not fantastic, but excellent.”
“England will need to perform at their very peak if they want to defeat them, and I believe they will. They will have to contend with England.
Imagine how Senegal would fare if Sadio Mane were on the field. If he was, they could have even won their competition.
“I predict a 2-1 victory for England. Even though it will be tight, England will have too much. However, I do not at all underestimate Senegal.
“England is superior than Senegal in terms of talent, but it will be close since Senegal has physical players who are swift, powerful, and of excellent quality.”
