Peseiro hails Flying Eagles as team stretches unbeaten run to 16. Tuesday’s friendly encounter between Nigeria’s U20 Flying Eagles and Capital City Football Academy saw Nigeria’s head coach of the Super Eagles, José Santos Peseiro, in attendance at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project ground.

As part of the overall preparations for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations event in Egypt next month, the warm-up game was another practice session for the match against Junior Chipolopolo of Zambia on Saturday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.

Samson Lawal, Agbalaka Solomon, Olamilekan Adams, and Yahaya Ibrahim all scored goals to help the Flying Eagles extend their winning streak to 16 games.

The Flying Eagles’ head coach, Ladan Bosso, told a pleased Peseiro that the squad have a lot of talent and that he is certain the U20 lads will do well enough in Egypt to earn a spot in the FIFA U20 World Cup finals, which will take place in Indonesia later this year.

Alongside NFF Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen and Super Eagles Team Administrator Dayo Enebi Achor, the Portuguese strategist attended the game.

Prior to their Wednesday departure from Nigeria for Morocco, the Flying Eagles are scheduled to play Zambia’s U20 men’s squad on Saturday.
