OAP Do2dtun’s wife files for divorce over alleged forced abortion, domestic violence

OAP Do2dtun’s wife files for divorce over alleged forced abortion, domestic violence. Omotayo, the wife of Kayode Ojuolape Oladotun, also known as Do2dtun, a prominent on-air personality, has filed for divorce from the host of Cool FM due to claims of forced abortion, domestic abuse, and emotional assault.

The couple wed in 2013, and their union gave birth to two kids.

But sometime in November 2021, Omotayo filed for divorce from Do2dtun in Court 23, High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, under the case number GWD/PET/25/2021. She claimed that Do2dtun had subjected her to “unending reckless emotional abuse, forced abortion, and vicious domestic violence,” all of which had a negative impact on her health and general well-being.

The OAP allegedly compelled his wife to have an abortion of her third pregnancy while married, according to court records filed by Omotayo’s attorney, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Managing Partner of Abuja-based Law Corridor. Omotayo didn’t object until the lawsuit’s outcome was decided, and the court eventually gave the parents shared custody of the kids.

On December 14, 2022, Do2dtun allegedly invaded Omotayo’s Abuja home with a few police officers, forced entry, and beat her gateman and staff because she had refused to provide her true whereabouts and that he had hurled obscenities at her.

Following that, Omotayo filed a petition with the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja, alleging criminal trespass, intentional destruction, and unauthorized entrance by Do2dtun.

The invasion put Omotayo in a “state of mental anguish and dread of impending harm at the hands of the Defendant (Do2dtun), who remains volatile and unpredictable,” according to the petition, which was dated December 14, 2022 and stamped to signify receipt by the office of the DIG.

In light of the facts set forth in this petition, we humbly ask that you use your good offices to carry out an objective investigation into our client’s petition and to cause an appropriate legal action to be taken against the Defendant in order to ensure our client’s safety and for the sake of justice.

In addition to the aforementioned, the petition said, “we demand that the names of the Nigeria Police Officers who committed the unlawful act at the behest of the Defendant be made known to the public and appropriate action be taken against them so as to preserve the integrity of the Nigeria Police that has been painstakingly built over the years.”
