NPFL Odigie plays down title talks despite Insurance unbeaten run. Even though his team has won all nine of its games in the Nigeria Premier Football League, Monday Odigie, the head coach of Bendel Insurance, has rejected claims that his team is now the favorite to win the championship.
On Sunday night in Benin City, Insurance defeated Enyimba 1-0 to maintain their winning streak.
The only NPFL team without a loss this year is Odigie’s group.
The coach emphasized that his team still has a lot of work to do before the season is over.
Odigie said to reporters following the match against Enyimba, “We still have more games to play in the second half of the season.”
We want to concentrate more on sustaining a good level of performance in our remaining matchups, so winning the league isn’t our top objective.
“Since our squad is young, they must be hungry for success. Success will undoubtedly occur if all of this is accomplished.
