Nigeria vs Mozambique: Super Eagles seek to win First Friendly in Five years

The Super Eagles are aiming to break their winless streak in friendly matches as they face the Mambas of Mozambique at the Estádio Municipal de Albufeira today.

Over the past five years, the three-time African champions have struggled in friendly games, with a record of seven draws and eight losses. In their last friendly, Jose Peseiro’s team played to a 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons.

The Super Eagles hold a favorable record against Mozambique, having not lost in their four previous encounters, with three victories and a draw.

Mozambique, on the other hand, had a 1-1 draw against Angola’s Palancas Negras in their recent match.

Unfortunately, the Super Eagles will be without Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho in this game. Osimhen sustained a hamstring injury during the match against Saudi Arabia, while Iheanacho has been granted leave from the camp to attend to a personal matter.
