EPL Title race over – Patrick Vieira reacts to Brighton’s win at Arsenal. Former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira has said the Premier League title race is done and dusted.
Vieira’s declaration came after the Gunners were thrashed 3-0 by Brighton on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, Manchester City had gone four points clear with a 3-0 win at Everton.
According to Vieira, that lead is now unassailable.
“I’m really sorry to say that [the title race is over]. I think it will be impossible to see City let it go now.
“It was a must-win game for Arsenal. They had a lack of energy and it looked like City’s result [against Everton] killed their legs,” Vieira said.
City now need three points from their last three fixtures to be crowned champions for the third successive year.
