Qatar 2022 Ronaldo told to leave Portugal’s World Cup team

Qatar 2022 Ronaldo told to leave Portugal’s World Cup team. After being substituted against Switzerland, Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, begged her brother to immediately depart from Portugal’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad in Qatar and return home.

This was expressed by Aveiro in a long, tearful letter posted on her Instagram page on Thursday.

Recall that Fernando Santos, Portugal’s head coach, left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the starting lineup for their 6-1 victory against Switzerland in the round of 16.

Aveiro acknowledged on Instagram that while she was pleased that Portugal had won, she couldn’t ignore the abuse Ronaldo was experiencing in his nation.

She remarked, “I’m delighted Portugal won. (I’ve seen Portugal win so many times.) But even this doesn’t take away from the fact that a sizable portion of the Portuguese population is rather little. And the fact that they keep cursing, insisting on offense, and showing thanks is what is wrong.

“Really terrible, but too sad, given what I’ve read and heard—not here in Qatar, but in my country and his nation. and I really wanted it.

“I truly wanted [Ronaldo] to come home, leave the national team, and sit next to us so we could hug him and reassure him that everything is good, remind him of the victories he has achieved, and show him where he originally hails from.

I pleaded with him to stop going there since we had already through enough pain.

When Portugal plays Morocco on Saturday in the quarterfinal round, Ronaldo, 37, will now expect to start.
