EPL Brad Friedel tells World Cup star to leave Man United over constant abuse

EPL Brad Friedel tells World Cup star to leave Man United over constant abuse. The order to leave Manchester United during the current winter transfer window was given to Harry Maguire.

In order to avoid the “fan abuse” he encounters at the club, former Premier League goalkeeper Brad Friedel wants Maguire to leave Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag chose to play Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez ahead of the United captain, and Maguire had a difficult season going into the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup break.

Maguire has recently received a lot of criticism for even the smallest errors.

The manager of his country’s national team, Gareth Southgate, has refused to listen to the criticism he receives for consistently staying with the former Leicester City player, but the 29-year-old has consistently returned that confidence.

Maguire was a standout player for England during their World Cup run in Qatar.

Although Friedel thinks Maguire should go elsewhere, Maguire will be hoping to restore his spot in the United team.

He told Bookmakers, “I think there’s a whole bunch of reasons why a guy like Harry Maguire might perhaps seek elsewhere.

“You know, first and foremost, the fan and media hatred that he has received while playing for United has gone much beyond what a sportsperson or sportswoman should receive.

“I could see why he may just want to move somewhere else and start again,” the author said.
