Champions League Three Liverpool players under attack

Champions League Three Liverpool players under attack. After the club’s 5-2 loss to Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday, former Liverpool star Jose Enrique has criticized the club’s players, including Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Enrique said that Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold all struggled against Real Madrid, while Alexander-Arnold has performed poorly for Liverpool thus far this season.

Also, he blasted Liverpool for offloading Sadio Mane and bringing in players like Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo instead.

Enrique stated in a statement to talkSPORT: “I don’t think it is just one problem. First of all, I think some of the players demand everything. In my honest view, the main issue is that they didn’t truly get the players they needed.

You cannot let Sadio Mane [go] and then purchase Darwin and Gakpo, guys who still need to prove themselves in the Premier League. Notwithstanding their performance, they are not Mane.

“Van Dijk and Trent both appear absolutely off, as does Salah, who has also been playing poorly this season.”
