Prior to the upcoming 2023 presidential election, legendary Nigerian singer and campaigner Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, often known as Area Fada or Charly Boy, cited hunger and poor stomach health as the main causes of some young people’s support for established politicians.
According to Charly Boy, who defined the 2023 election as a chance to realize the “Dream Nigeria,” in order for the nation to overcome the many issues it faces, the people must search for a new leader who has come to rule rather than merely to win an election.
The artist said that his support for Labour Party, LP presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi sprang from his desire to contribute to protecting the future of young people in the nation during an interview with DAILY POST.
He said that this would be his first time endorsing a politician.
Since I started out as an activist, I have never backed a candidate. Since the bulk of young people are found there, I am supporting a candidate for the first time. So I’m all for anything that can help them recover their future.
“Exceptional individuals like the young people hold the key to our nation’s salvation, and I’m starting to sense a reawakening,” said the young person. Therefore, I’m glad that they are reawakening and taking control of their destiny, and as a parent, I can’t merely wait for the young Nigerians’ dream to come true.
He declared, “We are not seeking an angel, but a servant in the shape of a leader.
He urged Nigerians, particularly the youth, to take advantage of the chance to choose the proper leaders in the upcoming election, and he issued a warning that if they did not exercise good judgment, “they would end up wishing President Muhammadu Buhari was still in office.”
