Scholes is excited by the possibility of the Red Devils playing La Liga heavyweights Barcelona among these challenging clubs.
On November 7 at noon, the playoff draw is scheduled to take place.
“Who are you trying to avoid… Scholes remarked to BT Sport, “I believe Barca, I’d love to draw them, I’ve said it a few times, I’d want them to play against Barca, just to get the juices flowing, get the atmosphere going at either venue.
“I believe they can defeat Barcelona. On the other hand, we are aware of their strength as a team.
“As much as I want to play against them, they’re probably the only ones I’d think you’d want to stay away from.”
