U-20 AFCON Flying Eagles focused on beating Egypt – Njoku. Augustine Njoku, a Flying Eagles defender, claims that the club is completely focused on scoring as many points as possible against the Young Pharaohs of Egypt.
On Wednesday (today), the West Africans will play in their second match of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
After falling to Senegal 1-0 in their opening match of the campaign on Sunday, the Nigerian boys sit at the bottom of Group A.
It will be difficult to compete against the host country since many home supporters are anticipated to pack the Cairo International Stadium.
Njoku contrasted this by saying that he and his teammates are eager to play the Young Pharaohs.
The center-back also made it clear that the club wants to go to the next round.
“We’ll battle to defeat the Egyptian national team. “We do not think about losing Senegal and we are ready to face the Egyptian national team,” the squad said. “The match will not be simple, but we have prepared well for it. We are aware that our prospects are slim, but we will work hard to secure a spot in the next round,” he stated.
The game will begin at six o’clock Nigerian time.
