Transfer Gent chief confirms Orban not for sale

Transfer Gent chief confirms Orban not for sale. Gent technical director, Michel Louwagie has said the club will not consider selling Gift Orban this summer.

The 20-year-old linked up with Gent from the Norwegian second-division club, Staebek in January.

The Nigerian has caught attention with his goal-scoring exploits for the Belgian Pro League club.

Orban has scored nine goals and provided two assists in nine league appearances.

The young striker has also scored five goals in five appearances for Gent in the UEFA Europa League.

“Gift is a luxury problem. He still has a contract until 2027, and we didn’t get him at the end of January to sell again in July. We’ve never done that before.”
