2023 AFCON Qualifier Guinea Bissau to host Super Eagles in Morocco

2023 AFCON Qualifier Guinea Bissau to host Super Eagles in Morocco. In a third-day qualifying match for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Guinea Bissau will play host to the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Morocco.

The game will take place on March 23; the rematch is scheduled for Abuja’s Moshood Abiola Stadium four days later.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) did not provide its approval for the home stadiums of Guinea-Bissau, Estadio 24 de Setembro and Estadio Lino Correia, to host matches in the qualifiers.

The two venues did not comply the CAF’s standards for hosting international games.

The Guinea Bissau Football Federation has been given permission by its Moroccan equivalent to hold home matches there, according to reports coming out of the West African nation.

With four points from their first two games, the Djurtus sit second in Group B.

At the Cameroon 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, Baciro Cande’s squad last faced the Super Eagles in a group match, losing 2-0.
