Super League CAF to inspect Godswill Akpabio Stadium Wednesday. The Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo will be inspected by Confederation of African Football (CAF) officials on Wednesday.

One of the venues designated for the first CAF Super League competition is the stadium.

Before to the lucrative tournament, the six-person crew will check the stadium, also known as the Nest of Champions, and other relevant infrastructures.

The CAF has also nominated the Abuja Moshood Abiola Stadium.

In May 2002, the CAF Confederation Cup final between RS Betkane of Morocco and Orlando Pirates of South Africa was played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

A Super League for premier clubs in Africa was proposed by CAF President Patrice Motsepe on May 22, 2022.

The event will take the place of the previous CAF Champions League.
