Super Eagles drop three places in latest FIFA ranking. In the most recent FIFA men’s rankings, the Super Eagles have lost ground.
The three-time African champions are currently placed 35th, up from position 32.
The team of Jose Peseiro also fell from fourth to fifth place in Africa.
African teams ahead of the Super Eagles in the rankings include the Atlas Lions of Morocco, Terangha Lions of Senegal, Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, and Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
The Super Eagles, who were eliminated from the recently finished Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, also lost their friendlies last month against Portugal and Costa Rica.
Despite leaving the World Cup in the quarterfinals, Brazil continues to be the top-ranked team in the world.
Argentina, who were just named world champions, rose to the second spot in the standings.
