Serie A Osimhen, Lookman go to war as Napoli, Atalanta clash in Bergamo. Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, both members of the Super Eagles, will put their relationship to the side when Napoli and Atalanta square off in Serie A action on Saturday.
This season, Osimhen and Lookman have performed admirably for their respective teams.
The two players are also contenders for October’s Serie A Player of the Month award.
In his eight league games for Napoli this year, Osimhen has scored seven goals.
La Dea’s leading scorer is Lookman, who just recently transferred from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig to Atalanta last summer. Lookman has five goals in 12 matches.
Currently leading the table and undefeated in Serie A is Napoli.
The team of Luciano Spalletti will now have to prove they can prevail against Atalanta in their most difficult test of the season.
Atalanta has only suffered one league defeat thus far, and a victory would put them two points ahead of Partenopei in the standings.
