Ronaldo and Messi continue to split the opinions of football figures and supporters alike, despite already being in the twilight of their respective careers.
Both players have won 12 Ballon d’Or awards between them in the past 15 years.
Commenting on Messi and Ronaldo, Bergwijn said he preferred Messi because his talent is not normal.
“Messi,” Bergwijn said (via AFC Ajax) when asked about his choice between Messi and Ronaldo.
“The amount of natural talent he has, that is really not normal. He is the best football player in the world.”
