In the Nigeria Premier Football League’s matchday three Team of the Week, Remo Stars players stood out prominently.
Their remarkable performance led to the team’s first away victory of the 2023/24 season, where they defeated Bayelsa United with a score of 2-1 in Yenagoa over the weekend.
The Team of the Week includes several Remo Stars players, namely, defender Nduka Junior, Adams Olamilekan, and Sikiru Alimi. Olamilekan and Alimi were the scorers of Remo Stars’ goals in the match.
Sporting Lagos is also represented in the list with two players, Chinedu Ufere and Godwin Odion, making the cut.
Other players in the lineup include Benjamin Tanimu from Bendel Insurance, Chinedu Sunday from Lobi Stars, Ezekiel Bassey from Heartland, Kingdom Osayi, the goalkeeper for Doma United, and Chijoke Mbaoma from Enyimba.
Taofeek Malomo from Shooting Stars is another player featured in the Team of the Week.
Additionally, Remo Stars’ coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, was recognized as the Coach of the Week for his exceptional leadership and guidance.
