Nigerian footballer slumps, dies during match in Spain. Ado Bala Hadi, a football player from Nigeria, died while playing for CD Madridejos, a team in Spain’s fourth tier.
In the 39th minute of CD Madridejos’ league match against SP Cabanillas, Hadi collapsed on the ground.
All attempts to bring him back to life were unsuccessful, and he was later pronounced dead.
Before joining CD Madridejos last year, the 21-year-old was on the roster of Jigawa Golden Stars of the Nigeria National League.
For Jigawa Golden Stars, the defender made nine appearances.
One of the four Nigerian players that played for CD Madridejos up to his passing was Hadi.
