Darren Bent, the former Tottenham Hotspur player, has suggested that Manchester United might be too sizable a club for manager Erik ten Hag, urging the Dutchman to consider departing from Old Trafford.
Bent’s remarks followed Manchester United’s recent 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. The defeat led to United’s elimination from the Champions League, culminating in a bottom-place finish in Group A, securing four points from six games. Their group stage performance included four losses, one draw, and one win.
Speaking about Ten Hag on talkSPORT, Bent expressed his opinion, stating, “Not up to it, should go.” He further added, “I don’t think he’s up to it. I think the club’s way too big for him.”
