Lukaku vs Osimhen Carmine Esposito chooses better striker. Carmine Esposito, a former star for Fiorentina, believes that Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is a superior striker to Chelsea’s loanee Romelu Lukaku.
Prior to the 2022 FIFA World Cup break, Osimhen was on fire, scoring eleven goals for Napoli across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Lukaku’s season has been hampered by injury; in five games, the Belgian international has only scored twice.
When asked to select between Osimhen and Lukaku, Esposito said to Radio Punto Nuovo, “I have no doubts: always Osimhen.”
“Osimhen is now the best in Italy and in Europe, but Lukaku has been pressed a lot at this point and is in a weary period.”
“Luciano is a master in making his forwards develop and elevate,” he said, “and Osimhen is emerging as this team’s captain.”
