‘It feels good to be back’, Sadio Mane returns to training with Bayern Munich

‘It feels good to be back’, Sadio Mane returns to training with Bayern Munich. Sadio Mane, a striker for Bayern Munich, resumed training on Tuesday as he continued to heal from the leg injury that kept him out of the World Cup.

Mane emerged on the snow-covered training field at Munich’s Saebener Strasse in a video that was posted on the team’s Twitter page, saying to the cameras, “Hey, it’s a fantastic feeling, after a long break, to be back.”

Mane, 30, suffered a right leg injury during Bayern’s 6-1 victory against Werder Bremen at home on November 8 and had surgery, missing Senegal’s World Cup run.

Mane, who transferred from Liverpool to Bayern last summer, may be eligible to return for the second leg of Bayern’s Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain on March 8. This was said by Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann in early January.

Nagelsmann told the media that there is just a “little possibility” that he will play the first leg, adding that “if everything goes extremely well, he may be able to play again against Paris.”

Mane won’t play in Bayern’s later Tuesday home matchup versus Cologne.
