Eriksen signed a three-year contract with United this month after impressing during a brief stint there while making his comeback from a cardiac collapse he suffered at the European Championship in June of last year.
Many teams, including his former club Tottenham, expressed interest in the midfielder, but Eriksen chose to team up with new United manager Ten Hag, another former Ajax favorite.

“It was amazing for me to get the decision of the manager to speak with him, hear his views, and have dialogues with him on football terms.
“I believe that with the manager’s potential arrival, his ideas, and our chats, as well as my own, I could see myself playing football in Manchester.
“I believe that my brand of comedy ideally meshes with his concepts, and it’s something that will hopefully connect in a good and positive way. Naturally, I believe that this style of football suits me.
It’s also a very, very large club, if not the largest. It is a great feeling to be a part of something with such a significant historical background.
“The goal is undoubtedly to win something, but the only goal is to get as high as possible and see where it takes us.”
After making his Bees debut in March, Eriksen made 11 Premier League appearances for Brentford, with one goal and four assists. He also generated 30 opportunities, which is the third-highest total in the league behind Martin Odegaard (38) and Kevin De Bruyne (42).
Only De Bruyne (85) has accrued more assists in the Premier League since Eriksen made his debut for Tottenham in September 2013 despite the Dane spent 18 months at Inter and another half-season away from the game.
Eriksen had his doubts about returning to the Premier League after leaving Spurs for the Serie A giants in January 2020, but he is still appreciative of Brentford for helping him make it.
