Erik ten Hag reveals two key Manchester United stars could miss West Ham clash. Two important Manchester United players may not be available for Wednesday night’s FA Cup match against West Ham, according to Erik ten Hag.
There is not much time for United to relax and replenish after their victory over Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday as they attempt to maintain their “quadruple” aspirations.

The manager of the Red Devils confirmed that Anthony Martial is still unavailable and is still out alongside long-term absentees Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen, which is unfortunate for Ten Hag.

The most recent hip ailment that has kept the forward out of 28 of United’s 40 games this season.

Yet although that information was partly expected, it has now come to light that Luke Shaw and Fred are both questionable for the West Ham match.

Ten Hag just stated in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday: “These are questions for tomorrow.” It is unclear if they have sustained injuries or are simply having conditioning problems.

The duo began the Carabao Cup final with Shaw, who assisted Casemiro’s first goal, playing the entire match and Fred being replaced by Marcel Sabitzer after 69 minutes.

Tyrell Malacia will undoubtedly fill in at left back if the former is actually injured, but Ten Hag will be severely lacking in central midfielders if Fred is absent, with Casemiro, Sabitzer, and Scott McTominay the only senior possibilities.

Ten Hag has never rotated his team, unless it was absolutely necessary, but after winning their first title since 2017, he is optimistic that his club may succeed even more this year.To be clear, he said, “We didn’t win with 11 players; we won with a squad. I think the squad is so important throughout the entire season and every time players come in—whether it’s for an entire game, a few minutes, or an entire game—also during games, we can change the dynamics, and we do it with much more than 11 players.
