EPL Potter likes to rotate team – Liverpool legend kicks against Chelsea signing Ronaldo. Former Liverpool player Danny Murphy has spoken out against the idea of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Chelsea.
Ronaldo will likely object to the notion, according to Murphy, who thinks Chelsea manager Graham Potter loves to rotate his players.
Since leaving Manchester United earlier this week, Ronaldo has been linked with a transfer to Chelsea.
After his controversial interview with Piers Morgan last week, the Red Devils canceled his contract.
The Man United manager Erik ten Hag was among those who received criticism from the Portugal captain for his lack of consistent playing time at Old Trafford.
Murphy, though, thinks that if Ronaldo were to transfer to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea under Potter would inherit the same issues as Man United.
Murphy told Lord Ping that he thought it was unfortunate how Ronaldo’s departure from Manchester United had transpired.
“I believe that the choice benefits both sides,” you say.
I don’t see relocating to Chelsea happening, he continued. Since Graham Potter loves to rotate, I believe he would inherit the same issues if he didn’t play him every week.
He actually doesn’t use the same team every week as a manager.
With his rotational strategy, I don’t believe Ronaldo would be really involved. I just don’t think it will happen. If it were the case, I’d be stunned.
