EPL I was wrong about Arteta – Piers Morgan. The British broadcaster Piers Morgan has acknowledged that he was mistaken about Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal.
Last season, when the Gunners battled and missed out on Champions League spots, Morgan called for the Spaniard’s dismissal.
Arsenal now leads Manchester City by five points in the Premier League thanks to Arteta’s remarkable comeback this season.
And Morgan claims that being proven wrong has made him “never happier.”
He said in The Sun, “It has been amazing to observe Arsenal’s metamorphosis from mid-table mediocrity to a really competitive club again.
And Arteta, who would have been summarily fired if I had my way eight months ago, is to blame for everything.
“The Spaniard has demonstrated that he most definitely possesses the necessary skills, and we were able to see his development up close in Amazon’s documentary series All or Nothing about the club.”
