Ramires asserted that there is “always another level” above Arsenal and that it is normal for a guy like Martinelli, who he called a fantastic footballer, to harbor Real Madrid aspirations.
In 2024, Martinelli’s agreement with Arsenal will come to an end.
The Premier League powerhouses offer the international player from Brazil the chance to extend his current deal.
He has previously been connected to moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Ramires told Ladbrokes, “Gabriel Martinelli is a phenomenal player, and he’s been absolutely tremendous for Arsenal this season. It’s nice to see a young Brazilian guy rising up and showing so much maturity.
“Important clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus will inevitably knock on the door.
There will always be a higher level, even though he represents a great, ambitious club like Arsenal.
“I’d say it depends on Martinelli and what he wants. You know, it’s normal for guys like him to ponder about clubs like Real Madrid, the club’s prominence and size, and how playing for them may have been a boyhood ambition.”
