EPL Ex-Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo banned for two matches, fined £50,000

EPL Ex-Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo banned for two matches, fined £50,000. Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, allegedly received a two-match suspension and a £50,000 fine from the FA for damaging a fan’s phone earlier this year.

Ronaldo seemed to slap a fan’s hand as he went down the tunnel following Manchester United’s Premier League loss to Everton at Goodison Park last season, breaking the boy’s phone.

According to The Mirror, the FA has already wrapped up its investigation and fined and suspended the 37-year-old.

Following the conclusion of Manchester United’s Premier League match against Everton on Saturday, April 9, 2022, Ronaldo had acknowledged that his behavior had been wrong.

After a subsequent hearing, an impartial Regulatory Commission determined Ronaldo’s behavior to be both unlawful and aggressive and imposed these punishments on the player.

This occurs less than a day after Ronaldo’s contract with Man United was terminated.

Ronaldo is presently in Qatar with the Portugal national team as they get ready for their World Cup opening against the Ghanaian Black Stars on Thursday.
