The Warriors of Zimbabwe are set to host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday two fixture at the Amarhoro Stadium in Kigali next month. This match will be part of the World Cup qualifying campaign.
Zimbabwe will face Rwanda on matchday one and will remain in Kigali for the matchday two encounter against the Super Eagles, according to Zimbabwean sources. Zimbabwe is returning to international football after an 18-month FIFA ban but is currently without an approved stadium for international fixtures.
Despite efforts to get the Rufaro Stadium, National Sports Stadium, and Barbourfields approved by FIFA, the situation remains unresolved. The match between Zimbabwe and the Super Eagles is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 20.
The Super Eagles are set to open their World Cup qualifying campaign with a home fixture against Lesotho’s Crocodiles on November 13. Other teams in the group include Rwanda, South Africa, and Benin Republic.
