U-20 AFCON Why I decamped 15 players – Flying Eagles boss, Bosso. Ladan Bosso, the head coach of the Flying Eagles, has explained why he cut 15 players from the team’s camp.

Last weekend, the impacted players left the team.

Prior to the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, the Flying Eagles established camp in Abuja last Monday.

Because the national team is not a rehabilitation facility, Bosso told BRILA FM, “Players with injuries are not admitted. Go and finish your therapy and maybe see us in January.”

“As a result, I’ve offered them a complete break over the next two weeks. Additionally, if you don’t have a passport, you are unable to play for your country’s national team.

Bosso has already issued an invitation to additional players to bolster the squad as they step up their pre-competition training.

The Flying Eagles participated in three friendly last week, and additional practice matches are anticipated before their break for Christmas and New Year’s.

The U-20 AFCON will take place in Egypt from February 18 to March 12, 2023.
