Argentina and Morocco have had outstanding team support thus far in the World Cup, claims Sutton.
Tuesday’s World Cup semifinal match between Argentina and Croatia will take place at the Lusail Stadium, and Wednesday’s match between Morocco and France will take place in the Al Bayt Stadium.
According to Sutton, who was quoted by BBC Sport, “I would want to see Argentina and Morocco win through because of their teams’ fantastic support.”
“Argentina fans pull their team through games; against the Netherlands in the last eight, it was like a home game for them, and it will be the same against Croatia.
“With Morocco, I also believe it will make for a fantastic story if an African team wins. Morocco has changed people’s perceptions of teams from outside of Europe and South America, which is something that happens far too frequently in this event.
Although they would be my ideal candidate to go to the championship game, I have serious doubts about their prospects against France.
