Gov. Matawalle commiserates with police, victims of Maru attack

Gov. Matawalle commiserates with police, victims of Maru attack. The recent bandit assault that occurred in the middle of the night in Maru town and resulted in the deaths of police officers, vigilantes, and other people has been characterized by Governor Bello Mohammed as heinous, heartless, and a cowardly crime.

In a statement, the governor’s special adviser for public education, media, and communications, Zailani Bappa, said that the administration was aware of the bandits’ desperate endeavor at the moment to project superiority after they had just been depleted of strength.

The statement highlighted that while “this recent incident was truly terrible,” it would not slow down security personnel’ efforts to apply further pressure to the robbers until their evil schemes were put an end to.

It was reported that Governor Bello Mohammed postponed his official obligations in Abuja in order to travel to Maru town, specifically the scene of the event. He also expressed his condolences to the victims of the barbaric act.

The statement stated that all residents are urged to raise their vigilance and awareness and report any suspicious people or movements in their areas, even though the state government will still continue to provide the Security operatives in the state with its full assistance.
