Expect tough decisions soon – Wike warns FCT residents

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has cautioned Abuja residents to prepare for tough decisions. He assured residents that these difficult decisions are intended for the overall benefit of the nation’s capital and are not meant to be punitive.

Wike made this statement while receiving former FCT Senator, Philip Aduda, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the senatorial seat in the last election, Zakari Dobi.

He also mentioned that President Bola Tinubu has directed the construction of a minimum of 5km of road in each area council.

Upon assuming office, Wike had ordered the demolition of several illegal structures in the FCT and had also threatened to revoke undeveloped properties within a specified timeframe. These measures are part of a broader plan to enhance the development and infrastructure of the Federal Capital Territory.
