Europa League Nigeria forward Boniface up for Player of the Week award

Europa League Nigeria forward Boniface up for Player of the Week award. Victor Boniface, a striker with Union Saint Gilloise, has been nominated for the UEFA Europa League Player of the Week honor.

Thursday night’s 3-3 tie between the Belgian Pro League team and Bundesliga club, Union Berlin, featured two goals from Boniface.

The 22-year-old scored the first and third goals for the tiny team in the fiercely contested match.

Five goals have been scored by the Nigerian thus far this year in the UEFA Europa League.

This season marks the first time Boniface has been considered for the individual award.

The other nominees for the prize are Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, Paulo Dybala of Roma, and Edmond Tapsoba of Bayer Leverkusen.
