EPL: Robert Pires names three Arsenal players who could become next ‘Invincibles’

EPL: Robert Pires names three Arsenal players who could become next ‘Invincibles’. Three contemporary Gunners talents, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Martin Odegaard, according to Arsenal great Robert Pires, would be selected for the team’s illustrious “Invincibles” Lineup.

Remember that the last time Arsenal celebrated winning the league was in the storied “Invincibles” season of 2003–2004, during which they went the entire season without suffering a loss.

After returning to the top of the Premier League this season, Arsenal experienced a blow last Wednesday when they were defeated 3-1 by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team at Emirates Stadium.

As a consequence, Man City moved into first place in the Premier League standings, moving ahead of second-place Arsenal, who still has a game remaining.

Pires, who played in that illustrious team alongside players like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Sol Campbell, claimed that just three of the players from the new generation under Mikel Arteta would make the squad.

When asked to select a combined XI, Pires told The Telegraph, “I honestly think the Arsenal of 2004 would defeat the Arsenal of 2023.

“At this moment, I feel bad for the kids, but I have no doubt.

Lehmann, Lauren, Saliba, Campbell, Cole, Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Odegaard, Saka, Bergkamp, and Henry, I believe the supporters will reply.
