The Red Devils have improved greatly since Erik ten Hag arrived from Ajax at the start of the season and are now legitimate championship challengers, sitting just five points behind Manchester City and Arsenal in the standings.
Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are at the top of Ten Hag’s list of choices for the club this summer as he looks to add a new striker.
Last summer, United tried desperately to get Barcelona star De Jong, but the Dutch international has no interest in moving from Camp Nou to Old Trafford.
Savage wants his former team to give the acquisition of Kane and De Jong first priority in the event that the probable new owners of Manchester United are able to fund any summer transfer ambitions.
In his column for The Mirror, Savage stated that “Erik Ten Hag might be in charge of front-runners for the title next year” if Harry Kane and Frenkie De Jong were added to the Manchester United team.

Make a note of May 2024 because if they add Kane and De Jong to the lineup, Manchester United may win the championship again after a difficult ten years.
