EPL Chelsea yet to address striker challenge despite spending £600m – Carragher. Despite spending around £600 million over the previous two transfer windows, Chelsea has not yet addressed its striker issue, according to Liverpool star Jamie Carragher.

Carragher made this comment after Chelsea and Fulham drew 0-0 on Friday in a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.

Remember that Chelsea spent an additional £320 million in the just closed January transfer window on top of the players they signed in the summer, putting the total amount spent by co-owner Todd Boehly since he acquired the west London club last summer to an astounding £566 million.

Enzo Fernandez, who set a Premier League record by spending £107 million on a player, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Benoit Badiashile all got the start for Graham Potter’s team against Fulham on Friday.

“The thing that gets you scratching your head a little bit is they have not brought in a striker, they have spent 5 or 600 million,” Carragher said after the game on Sky Sports.

There isn’t really much there at the moment. It seems really obvious that they haven’t addressed that one key position for them given that Aubameyang isn’t on the Champions League roster either.
